Senior Power System Engineer in Perth, Western Australia

Gbemisola T Sodiq is seeking a highly skilled Senior Power System Engineer to join our innovative engineering team in Perth, Western Australia. This full-time role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the design, analysis, and optimization of advanced power systems within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and evaluate power distribution systems ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
• Perform comprehensive system studies including load flow, short circuit, and transient stability analyses to assess and enhance system performance.
• Develop and maintain detailed electrical design specifications and documentation in collaboration with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Troubleshoot complex power system issues and implement effective solutions to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Coordinate power system engineering activities throughout project planning and execution phases.
• Engage with clients through meetings and presentations to clearly communicate technical concepts and project status.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development via training and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5-7 years of proven experience in power systems engineering and electrical design.
• Proficiency in industry-standard software such as ETAP, PSS/E, or equivalent tools.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CEng, IEE) are highly desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong analytical capabilities.
