Job description
Role: Senior Project EngineerIndustry: Power generation / Gas TurbinesLocation: Dallas TX
We are partnered with a rapidly growing energy infrastructure developer delivering utility-scale thermal power generation projects across the US.
As they scale, they're looking for a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join the team and act as the owner's technical lead across the design, procurement, EPC execution and commissioning of large-scale gas turbine power plants. This is a highly hands-on role with significant ownership across the full project lifecycle.
Visa transfers can be supported.
Responsibilities 馃敤Lead mechanical engineering activities across utility-scale gas turbine power generation projects.Provide owner's engineering oversight from project development through EPC execution, commissioning and operations.Review gas turbine packages and balance-of-plant mechanical systems.Coordinate with EPC contractors, OEMs, consultants and multidisciplinary engineering teams.Review technical documentation including equipment specifications, PFDs and P&IDs.Support equipment selection, procurement and technical bid evaluations.Participate in FATs, SATs, commissioning and performance testing.Support regulatory compliance, technical risk reviews and plant performance optimization.
Qualifications 馃搼Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related.MIN 5 years' experience in a mechanical engineering/project engineering roleMIN 2 years experience delivering gas turbine power generation projects.Experience working for an EPC, OEM, engineering consultancy or owner/operator.Strong understanding of gas turbine auxiliary systems and balance-of-plant equipment.Experience managing engineering interfaces across multiple stakeholders.
Nice to Haves:PE License.
