Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – GCP

About the role

This role focuses on improving the reliability, performance, deployment safety, and operational readiness of cloud-native e-commerce services.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on GCP production experience supporting highly available, large-scale systems
• Deep understanding of SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and reliability engineering principles
• Proven experience improving service reliability, reducing MTTR and operational toil, and driving root-cause fixes
• Hands-on observability and application instrumentation using metrics, logs, traces, alerting, and production diagnostics
• Production troubleshooting, incident response, post-incident analysis, and operational readiness
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or equivalent tools
• CI/CD pipeline development and deployment safety improvements
• Scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or similar languages
• Ability to identify systemic reliability issues and implement lasting engineering solutions
• Strong technical ownership and collaboration across application, platform, and engineering teams
• Preferred: Kubernetes and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) production support
• Preferred: GitHub Actions
• Preferred: GCP Cloud Monitoring, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Grafana
• Preferred: Istio or other service mesh technologies
• Preferred: Apigee or other API gateways
• Preferred: Canary deployments, blue/green releases, and progressive delivery
• Preferred: Automated testing and engineering productivity improvements
• GCP experience must demonstrate meaningful, hands-on production ownership-not just certifications or keyword mentions.
• Candidates must show practical SRE experience, including SLI/SLO

Schedule

• Onsite from Day 1; later hybrid, 4 days per week onsite
