About the role
GE HealthCare is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for ECG Management with deep experience integrating Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. You will collaborate with architects, designers, and backend engineers to deliver secure, scalable clinical workflow solutions.
Responsibilities
- Define, develop, and evolve software in a fast-paced, agile development environment using current software development technologies and infrastructure.
- Work with Product Line Leaders (PLLs) to understand product requirements and vision, translate them into prioritized user stories, and deliver to required timelines and quality standards.
- Work with product line leaders and architects to develop multi-generation software technology plans.
- Drive efficiency across teams by eliminating duplication and leveraging product and technology reuse.
- Support process improvements for development, sustaining, and support activities.
- Work cross-functionally with other business departments to align activities and deliverables.
- Drive quality in product development and support, and help ensure the team understands business direction, strategy, and results.
- Engage subject matter experts to transfer complex domain knowledge.
- Apply SDLC principles and methodologies including Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, scalability, documentation practices, refactoring, and testing techniques.
- Write code that meets standards and delivers required functionality; understand performance parameters and assess application performance.
- Work on core data structures and algorithms and implement them using the selected technology.
- Share information across the team with the appropriate audience, detail, and timeliness.
