Job description
Henry Gates is hiring a full-time Senior Software Engineer specializing in healthcare interoperability in Orlando, Florida. In this role, you will build and integrate software that enables secure, seamless data exchange across healthcare systems and supports better patient care. This is an on-site position.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop microservices for healthcare applications and interoperability initiatives.
- Build robust APIs that connect healthcare systems and services.
- Follow healthcare standards and protocols while protecting data integrity and security.
- Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and other cross-functional partners to deliver effective software solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and promote software development best practices.
- Test, debug, and improve software functionality and performance.
- Monitor healthcare technology trends and recommend practical improvements and innovations.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Proficiency in Java and C#.
- At least five years of relevant software development experience.
- Experience developing microservices and integrating APIs, particularly in healthcare.
- Knowledge of healthcare standards such as HL7, FHIR, or DICOM.
- Industry-standard software engineering or healthcare interoperability certifications are preferred.
Compensation and Employment
Salary: $100,000 per year. Employment type: Full-time. Location: Orlando, Florida, United States. This position is not remote eligible.
