Description
Impulse is developing a variety of liquid propulsion systems and looking for design engineers who will contribute to critical development projects. As a Sr. Fluid Systems Engineer, you will be part of the Propulsion Engineering organization and own all aspects of propulsion system layout of a high-performance spacecraft, from concept to product realization, while working with a fast-paced, agile team.
Responsibilities
Layout complex and highly integrated fluid and mechanical systemsOwn all aspects of component design from concept to product realizationGenerate detailed CAD models and manufacturing drawingsPerform fluid, thermal, and structural analysis as requiredWork with internal and external sources to procure materials, fabricate parts, and complete assembliesResolve technical issues with innovative and resourceful solutions
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field5+ years of demonstrated, hands-on experience in designing complex, high-pressure, high-performance fluid and mechanical systems5+ years of hands-on experience working with fluid, electrical and mechanical systemsProficiency in creating engineering drawings and 3D CAD models with GD&T (ASME Y14.5)Demonstrated ability in requirements definition, conceptual design, procurement, fabrication, assembly and testing of hardware
Preferred Skills And Experience
5+ years of demonstrated experience in designing and delivering flight propulsion components for high-pressure, and high-performance applicationsExperience with in-space propulsion componentsExperience with Siemens NXStrong project management skills and effective communication of technical concepts across multi-disciplinary teamsExperience in a startup or agile development environment
Additional Requirement
Flexible schedule and willing to travel as needed

Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
