Job description
Grant M is seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural / Civil Engineer to join our expert team in New York City, NY. This W2 Contract role offers a competitive hourly rate of $60 per hour. The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing and analyzing structural systems, ensuring all work complies with current building codes and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced structural analysis and design of buildings and infrastructure using engineering best practices.
- Prepare, review, and verify design calculations, drawings, and specifications for code compliance.
- Lead design presentations and collaborate with clients and stakeholders to define project requirements and objectives.
- Work closely with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure project delivery and quality.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and team members throughout project phases.
- Participate in project planning, feasibility assessments, and material selection to optimize construction methods.
- Maintain thorough documentation and ensure engineering practices meet all regulatory and safety standards.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in structural design and analysis within civil engineering.
- Proficiency with structural design software including AutoCAD, Revit, and SAP2000.
- Comprehensive knowledge of building codes and regulations.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience with concrete and steel structural design principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
