Job description
Grant M is seeking an experienced Senior Structural / Civil Engineer for a W2 contract position in New York City, New York. This on-site role offers $60 per hour. You will design and analyze structural systems, ensure compliance with building codes and industry standards, and contribute to projects that shape infrastructure and communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for buildings and other structures using advanced engineering principles.
- Prepare and review design calculations, drawings, and specifications for code compliance.
- Present designs and discuss project scope and objectives with clients and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Monitor project progress and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and team members.
- Support project planning and feasibility studies, including evaluations of materials and construction methods.
- Maintain accurate project records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- At least five years of experience in structural design and analysis in the civil engineering industry.
- Proficiency with structural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SAP2000.
- In-depth knowledge of building codes and regulations.
- Experience with concrete and steel design principles.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, but not required.
