You will be joining a Cleveland CPA firm built around tax. Not trying to become everything to everyone. Just a firm that knows what it is good at and has built a loyal client base of largely high net worth individuals and privately owned businesses because of it.
There is room to grow here too.
Not the usual version of growth where you patiently wait for somebody above you to retire. The firm is growing deliberately, which creates genuine opportunity for people who want their career to move with it.
They are selective about that growth. New clients need to be the right fit. New hires do too.
That probably explains why the partners care so much about protecting the culture. They have built a team where people enjoy working together and, importantly, want to stay.
And then there is busy season.
It is still public accounting, so nobody is going to insult your intelligence and tell you February feels like July.
But around 55 hours is rather different from 70.
When things calm down, you get Summer Fridays too.
