ServiceNow Senior Application Developer

About the role

Support the development, administration, and enhancement of its ServiceNow platform within the Office of Data & Technology.

Tasks

• Administer, maintain, and enhance the ServiceNow platform.
• Configure forms, lists, workflows, notifications, reports, and Service Catalog items.
• Develop and support ServiceNow modules, including ITSM, HRSD, S2P, and ITAM.
• Build workflows using Flow Designer, approvals, task routing, and notifications.
• Develop Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and UI Actions using JavaScript.
• Integrate ServiceNow with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs and Integration Hub.
• Troubleshoot issues, resolve defects, and optimize platform performance.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, Client, and vendors.
• Maintain technical documentation and follow ServiceNow best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in ServiceNow administration and platform management.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting.
• Experience with forms, lists, tables, dictionary configuration, Business Rules, Client Scripts, and UI Policies.
• Knowledge of roles, Access Control Lists (ACLs), update sets, and platform administration.
• Experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
• Knowledge of ITIL principles and ITSM processes.
• Experience with ServiceNow application areas such as ITSM, HRSD, S2P, CSM, or SecOps.
