About the role

Join Rocheleau Tool Die Co. Inc. as a Set-Up Mechanic. Work with blow molding machinery and related production equipment to help keep production moving safely and efficiently.

The schedule is Monday–Friday, 2:45pm–11:15pm, for 42.5 hours per week, with a $.75 differential.

Responsibilities

• Set up and monitor blow molding machinery, conveyors, baggers, labeling machinery, and related equipment.
• Perform machine start-up procedures and adjust controls as needed during operation.
• Assist the Maintenance Mechanic with mounting molds to platens.
• Perform precheck, adjust weights, and correct quality issues.
• Make parison adjustments to correct excess flash, sag, and defects, and adjust tampers.
• Change labels, reset alarms, and verify proper operating temperatures.
• Provide technical leadership and may act as second in command when the Team Leader is absent.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Sound judgment about machine-line operation and finished-part quality.
• Ability to prioritize based on the production schedule and work with little supervision.
• Team-oriented attitude and ability to follow company procedures and safety requirements.
• Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds and perform physically active work in a loud, high-temperature environment.
• Ability to stand and walk for an extended shift; crawl under machinery; climb ladders; bend, stoop, twist, and lift overhead.
• Normal or correctable vision and hearing, and ability to communicate clearly and follow instructions in English.
