Spanish Document Translator

We are seeking a proficient Spanish Document Translator to join our dynamic team in Toronto, Ontario, on a contract basis. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our organization, ensuring that vital documents are translated accurately to effectively communicate with our Spanish-speaking clients and partners. Key Responsibilities Translate a variety of documents from English to Spanish with high accuracy and attention to detail. Proofread and edit translations to ensure they meet quality standards and align with the original text. Collaborate with other translators, editors, and team members to maintain consistency across documents. Manage multiple translation projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery as per deadlines. Conduct research to understand specific terminology and concepts relevant to various industries. Prepare glossaries of terms for reference and standardization of vocabulary used in translations. Provide feedback and recommendations for improving translation processes and practices. Required and preferred qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field. Proven expertise in translation and proofreading with a strong command of both English and Spanish. Familiarity with translation software and tools, such as SDL Trados or memoQ. Experience of at least 2-3 years in document translation, especially in legal, technical, or marketing materials. Strong attention to detail and excellent written communication skills.
