Overview Of The Role

Responsible for accurate preparation of complex journal entries such as revenue, cash, assets, AR, AP, accruals, interest, depreciation, amortization, pledge receivablesAssist with preparation of reconciliations after month end closeMaintain work papers that support the general ledger account balancesHelp with monthly and semi-monthly payrollAssist with accounting close and the analysis of budget varianceReview and post accounts payables, student, contributions, and gift receipts for approvalAssist with annual audit supportTrack asset and inventoryAssist with ad hoc data for auditThis role reports directly to controllerResponsible to ensure accounting is in accordance with GAAP

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in AccountingWould consider a new grad with an internship1-5 years of relevant accounting experiencePrevious AP experienceCPA or working towards CPA but not requiredGreat communication, organized, ability to work independentlyProficient in excel

Yearly Compensation $60,000 - $80,000 plus benefits
