Statistical Assistant Contract Job - Remote US

mercor is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Statistical Assistant to join our team on a contract basis. This remote position allows you to contribute to impactful statistical research projects from your home in the US. As a Statistical Assistant, you will play a key role in data analysis and visualization that supports critical decision-making across various projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in designing surveys and experiments for effective data collection and analysis.
• Perform statistical analyses using advanced software such as R, SAS, or SPSS to interpret data accurately.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and visualizations to communicate findings clearly to team members and stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with the research team to refine methodologies and enhance data quality.
• Conduct data cleaning and preprocessing to maintain high-quality datasets.
• Explain complex statistical concepts in an accessible manner to non-technical audiences.
• Participate in regular team meetings to share progress and contribute innovative ideas to research processes.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Statistics or a related field.
• Proven experience in statistical analysis and data interpretation.
• Proficiency with statistical software tools such as R, SAS, or SPSS.
• Strong understanding of research methodologies and survey design principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking abilities.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey data-driven insights clearly.
• 1-3 years of relevant professional experience preferred.
