Job description
Lead software development as a Tech Lead specializing in Java, API integration, web services, Node.js, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) in Cleveland, Ohio. This on-site contract role offers the opportunity to guide technology strategy and deliver projects that improve customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of scalable applications and microservices using Java, Node.js, and GCP.
- Oversee API development and web service integrations, ensuring performance and reliability.
- Implement CI/CD practices to improve software delivery and application quality.
- Review code and mentor developers on coding, architecture, and engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver projects.
- Maintain technical documentation and write clear architecture and service specifications.
- Analyze system performance and troubleshoot issues to support a seamless user experience.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least five years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on Java and Node.js.
- Demonstrated experience developing APIs and integrating web services.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with microservices architecture and related technologies, including Kafka.
