Technical Writer

Tasks

• Develop and enhance API references, SDK guides, integration tutorials, and configuration instructions.
• Create technical architecture diagrams and integration workflows.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Software Engineers to understand product functionality and technical requirements.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, customer-focused documentation.
• Test and validate APIs using Postman, API playgrounds, and similar tools.
• Develop practical examples, including API requests and responses, JSON payloads, code snippets, and configuration scenarios.
• Review existing documentation, identify gaps, and establish scalable documentation standards and workflows.
• Work with platforms such as ReadMe and Swagger/OpenAPI to improve developer documentation.
• Support technical documentation for customer onboarding, implementation, and enterprise sales processes.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in technical writing, developer documentation, or a related technical role.
• Strong experience documenting REST APIs, SDKs, software integrations, and technical architecture.
• Familiarity with API documentation platforms such as ReadMe, Swagger/OpenAPI, or similar tools.
• Working knowledge of JSON, XML, Markdown, API requests/responses, and software development concepts.
• Hands-on experience testing APIs using Postman or similar tools.

Schedule

• ASAP start date
• Through the end of January, with potential for extension
• 40 hours per week

Location

• Remote-Canada wide or (Hybrid in Vancouver preferred)
