Videography Instructor – Baltimore, MD

Creative Development Studios is hiring a part-time Videography Instructor in Baltimore, Maryland. This is an in-person contract opportunity teaching students in grades K–8 during the 2026–2027 school year. Candidates must be located in Baltimore and have experience working with inner-city urban youth.

Pay and schedule

• Pay: $50 per hour listed; the description states a range of $50–$60 per hour.
• Class length: One hour per session.
• Days: Monday through Thursday.
• Hours: Vary between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
• There may be opportunities for multiple contracts at multiple sites.

About the role

Plan, organize, teach, and supervise engaging videography classes and activities for youth. Incorporate youth development principles into lessons and assignments, guide students, maintain a safe and positive classroom environment, teach video production techniques, and care for equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Lead small creative projects such as short films, music videos, and public service announcements.
• Prepare and edit student projects; editing is the instructor’s responsibility.
• Promote trust and security through warm, supportive interactions with students.
• Maintain classroom order and use strong classroom management skills.
• Bring one or two medium-sized cameras or HD video phones, studio lights, and a microphone if available. Supplemental equipment is provided for instructors who do not have their own.

Qualifications

• Must be based in Baltimore, Maryland, with experience working with inner-city urban youth.
• Teaching experience and excellent classroom management skills.
• High energy, flexibility, and a performance-oriented approach.
• A genuine interest in working with children.
• Reliable transportation and availability for afternoon sessions; summer morning or afternoon availability is also sought.
