About the role
The Project SEARCH program is a 10-month employment training initiative for young students or seniors in their last year of high school, preparing them for competitive employment and a successful adult life. As a Vocational Program Assistant at Sheppard Pratt, you will provide pre-vocational experiences and coordinate vocational work groups.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing relationships for new jobs and internship sites on campus and within the community.
- Assess students’ vocational strengths and opportunities for growth to identify appropriate work settings and groups.
- Provide students with job training and develop skills for specific job tasks.
Requirements
- Associate degree in a mental health related field and 1 year of related work experience, or high school diploma or GED and 3 years of related work experience.
- Meet Sheppard Pratt’s requirements to operate a company vehicle: be 18 years old with at least 2 years of driving experience, have a valid driver’s license, and have 2 points or less on your driving record for the 3 most recent years of driving history.
