Ember Search has been retained on a Vice President of Finance search for one of the fastest-scaling PE-backed industrial platforms in the U.S.
This business manufactures mission-critical infrastructure supporting large-scale data center and digital capacity buildouts across the country. It has grown from startup to surpassing $500M+ in revenue in just a few years and is tracking toward $1B+. Demand is durable, growth is accelerating, and the company is now in the phase of building the financial systems, team, and rigor required to operate at the next level of scale. The company is backed by a top-tier PE firm and has recently added a CFO with deep public company experience to lead the finance organization through this next chapter.

The RoleThe VP of Finance will partner directly with the CFO to build the financial infrastructure of a $1B+ manufacturing platform. Today, much of the reporting and forecasting is manual and reactive. The opportunity is to architect something structured, scalable, and forward-looking from the ground up.
You will:Build accurate, bottoms-up forecasting across revenue, labor, capacity, and cost driversCreate repeatable profitability analysis by project, customer, product, and regionDesign and scale a data warehouse and reporting layer that reduces manual lift and improves decision speedElevate variance analysis and executive-level financial commentaryLead, develop, and grow a high-performing FP&A teamPartner cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and commercial leadership to embed finance in the business
Candidate Profile12+ years of progressive finance experience with meaningful time in a VP or Senior Director FP&A seatPublic company FP&A experience required - you understand how forecasts are used externally, how guidance gets set, and what investor-grade reporting looks likeBackground in manufacturing, construction, or other cost-driven industrial environments strongly preferredDemonstrated track record of building forecasting systems, tools, and scalable reporting processesExperience operating in high-growth organizations where infrastructure is still being builtHands-on leader who can balance strategic vision with day-to-day executionStandard costing background is a meaningful differentiator
