Wastewater Maintenance Technician

The City of McGregor is seeking a dependable Wastewater Maintenance Technician to join our Public Works/Utilities team. This position supports the maintenance and operation of the City’s wastewater infrastructure, including wastewater lines, lift stations, pumps, motors, and treatment plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Install, repair, and maintain wastewater lines and lift stations
• Maintain pumps and motors
• Check and maintain lift stations
• Operate backhoe, dump truck, and jet machine
• Monitor wastewater treatment plant operations
• Complete daily work orders and accurately record operational data

Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Texas Class C Operator’s License
• Ability to obtain a Class B CDL within 1 year of employment
• Class C Wastewater License or ability to obtain within 2 years
• Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials used in wastewater system maintenance
• Ability to operate a backhoe, dump truck, and jet machine
