Job description
About the role
City of McGregor is seeking a dependable Wastewater Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and operation of the City’s wastewater infrastructure and treatment plant operations.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain wastewater lines and lift stations.
- Maintain pumps and motors, and check and maintain lift stations.
- Operate a backhoe, dump truck, and jet machine.
- Monitor wastewater treatment plant operations.
- Complete daily work orders and accurately record operational data.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Texas Class C Operator’s License.
- Ability to obtain a Class B CDL within 1 year of employment.
- Class C Wastewater License or ability to obtain within 2 years.
- Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials used in wastewater system maintenance.
- Ability to operate a backhoe, dump truck, and jet machine.
