YAVU Collective is growing and we’re looking for a driven and detail-oriented Cluster Accountant to join our Finance team and support the financial portfolio of hospitality properties within the YAVU Collective portfolio. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES As Cluster Accountant, you will support the day-to-day financial accounting and reporting functions across the YAVU Collective portfolio. Working closely with the Cluster Finance team and operational leaders, you will support accurate financial records, timely reporting, strong financial controls and compliance with relevant standards and company policies. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES (summary from flyer) - Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports, reconciliations and management accounts - Maintain accurate accounting records across assigned properties - Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances - Support accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger functions - Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes - Monitor financial transactions and ensure appropriate supporting documentation - Support budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis activities - Support external and internal audits - Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures and statutory requirements - Work closely with operational departments to support sound financial practices - Provide financial information and analysis to assist management decision-making - Support the implementation and maintain the existing controls across the portfolio SKILLS & GUIDELINES - Experienced in a hotel, resort, hospitality environment or a similar accounting role - Strong in financial accounting, analysis, reconciliations and reporting - Highly organised with excellent attention to detail - Confident working with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel - Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines across a multi-property environment - Strong communicator who can work effectively with Finance and operational teams. - Professional, ethical and committed to maintaining financial accuracy and confidentiality. - Proactive, solutions-focused and comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. - Able to build positive working relationships across multiple departments and properties.
