Job description
IUCN Bangladesh Counrty Office is seeking a full-time Youth Environment and NGO Development Specialist in Oslo, Norway. In this role, you will help engage and empower young people in environmental sustainability, advocacy, and community initiatives. This is an on-site position focused on collaboration with youth, local organizations, schools, and community groups.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver programs that involve youth in environmental sustainability projects.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and stakeholder relationships in line with organizational goals.
- Research environmental issues and youth engagement strategies, then share practical recommendations.
- Facilitate workshops and training to build participants’ public speaking and advocacy skills.
- Develop partnerships with local organizations, schools, and community groups to support collaboration and resource sharing.
- Collect and analyze project data, assess outcomes, and adapt approaches to improve impact.
- Communicate regularly with colleagues and external partners to coordinate project delivery and share progress.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field.
- Strong communication and public speaking skills.
- Experience managing projects in an NGO or similar setting.
- Research and data analysis skills relevant to environmental work.
