AI Engineer

One of our Prestigious Client is looking for a hands-on AI Engineer to help us build the next generation of AI-powered products for K–12 education.
This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of AI, data, and education — building technology that can directly improve how educators understand student data and take action.

🔹 What You’ll Work On
You’ll help build and ship AI-native capabilities across Manta, including:
• AI assistants for interpreting DIBELS and other assessment data
• Automated MTSS/RTI intervention flagging
• Natural-language interfaces over student data
• AI-powered reporting and recommendations
• Predictive early-warning and analytics systems
• New SIS-adjacent products and data products
• LLM applications using RAG, prompting, agents, and evaluation pipelines
• Production AI infrastructure including guardrails, monitoring, reliability, cost and latency optimization
You’ll also have the opportunity to explore new product ideas from K–12 data, rather than simply building incremental features.

🔹 What We’re Looking For
• 1–6 years of experience in AI/full-stack engineering
• Strong Python and production software engineering skills
• Hands-on experience shipping LLM-powered features to production
• Experience with RAG, prompting, agentic workflows and/or fine-tuning
• Full-stack engineering background
• Data science experience — statistical modeling or predictive analytics
• Experience working with structured data and building reliable, explainable AI outputs
• Prior experience in a regulated industry such as ed-tech, healthcare, or finance
• Genuine interest in education, K–12 systems, or mission-driven technology
• BS/MS in Computer Science or a related engineering field (particularly relevant for more junior candidates)

Hackathons, GitHub projects, side projects, experimentation with AI, or evidence that you love the craft are all great signals.
This is not a research role removed from shipping. You’ll be building real products, working closely with product/design teams, and getting fast feedback from education partners.
