AutocadBIM Designer

AutoCAD/BIM DesignerWe are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented AutoCAD Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be a vital link between the drawing board and the field, transforming concepts into precise technical drawings and construction documents. Because our projects span both high-end commercial buildings (interiors) and massive civil infrastructure (exteriors, highways, parking structures), you will enjoy a diverse and engaging workload.

ResponsibilitiesDrafting & Modeling: Create accurate, high-quality 2D technical drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and Revit.Document Preparation: Prepare comprehensive construction plans, site layouts, elevations, sections, and structural/electrical detailed drawings.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with architects, structural/electrical engineers, project managers, and field personnel to ensure seamless project execution.Revisions & Quality Control: Quickly and accurately update drawings based on engineering changes, field conditions, and client feedback.Compliance: Ensure all deliverables strictly comply with industry standards, local building codes, DOT regulations, and company specifications.Data Management: Maintain organized, up-to-date project documentation, drawing logs, and digital records.Project Support: Assist estimating and project teams with material take-offs and technical documentation.Qualifications & RequirementsEducation: Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree in Drafting, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a closely related technical field.Experience: Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in AutoCAD drafting/design within the commercial construction, civil infrastructure, or electrical industry.Software Proficiency: Strong, demonstrable proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required. Knowledge of Civil 3D or other BIM software is a major plus.Technical Savvy: Deep understanding of construction documents, technical specifications, and architectural/engineering symbols.Mindset: Incredible attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple overlapping deadlines without sacrificing quality.Communication: Excellent teamwork and communication skills—ready to work with straight-shooting, high-energy trades professionals
