Key Responsibilities Represent a diverse range of clients including debtors, creditors, creditors’ committees, ad hoc committees, secured lenders, and specialist investors in complex business litigation matters. Develop strategic legal solutions by leveraging strong legal and business acumen across commercial, securities, and bankruptcy litigation cases. Manage all phases of discovery, including document review, interrogatories, and depositions, ensuring thorough preparation and effective case management. Draft persuasive legal briefs, motions, and memoranda that clearly articulate client positions and support successful litigation outcomes. Take and defend depositions with confidence, demonstrating expert knowledge and courtroom presence. Argue cases effectively in court, advocating for clients with professionalism and strategic insight. Collaborate with senior attorneys and cross-functional teams to provide comprehensive client counseling and achieve favorable resolutions. Stay current on legal developments and industry trends to maintain a competitive edge and deliver informed advice. What We're Looking For Required: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in commercial, securities, or bankruptcy litigation within an Am Law firm setting; experience should be current or very recent. Admission to the New York Bar. Strong academic credentials from a top-tier law school, with Law Review and/or Moot Court accolades highly desirable. Exceptional research, verbal, written communication, and analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to counsel clients effectively and manage complex litigation matters. Preferred: Prior bankruptcy litigation experience. Proven track record in taking and defending depositions and courtroom litigation. Experience working with distressed market participants and understanding of restructuring dynamics.
