Key Responsibilities Lead the Finance Department by providing strategic financial insights to the President/CEO and Board of Commissioners, supporting long-term organizational sustainability. Direct the annual budgeting and planning processes, ensuring alignment with Explore St. Louis’ Strategic Plan and compliance with government reporting requirements. Establish and maintain robust internal controls to protect organizational assets and ensure operational integrity. Oversee comprehensive financial analysis, including trend evaluation and performance metrics, to inform data-driven decision-making. Develop advanced financial models and scenario planning tools to enhance agility and real-time resource management. Manage perpetual forecasting processes with regular updates to optimize capital allocation and operational budgeting. Coordinate financial strategies related to capital assets, including funding models and public-private partnerships, to maximize asset utilization. Supervise Risk Management, IT, and Ticket Operations departments, ensuring integrated financial and operational oversight. What We're Looking For Required: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred. Minimum 8 years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally within nonprofit or public sector organizations. Proven expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and internal controls. Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modeling and scenario planning. Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively collaborate with executive teams and board members. Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and oversee multiple departments. Preferred: Experience with public-private partnerships and capital asset management.
