Cloud Database Administrator

We build technology with depth and scale, and we value the operational excellence that keeps critical systems reliable, secure, and ready for growth.As a Cloud Database Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the database infrastructure behind customer-facing software environments. This role is centered on building resilient cloud database operations, improving performance and reliability, and strengthening the automation and observability practices that help teams move confidently at scale.Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and maintain database systems within Azure cloud infrastructure.Research, implement, and maintain cloud automation and orchestration.Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks, including indexing, query tuning, partitioning, and data modeling.Optimize database deployments for Azure storage, networking, and security configurations.Build and maintain monitoring dashboards and alerts using Prometheus and Grafana.Automate schema migrations, backups, and cluster maintenance through CI/CD pipelines.Lead root-cause analysis for database incidents and drive remediation.Evaluate and implement strategies for scalability and growth.Maintain backup and restore strategies across SQL Server and Cassandra.Patch and upgrade systems, and participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation when needed.

Requirements

5+ years SQL Server and Azure SQL administration, performance tuning, and architecture1-5 years hands-on Cassandra (data modeling, cluster management, troubleshooting)Hands-on Azure ops: Azure SQL, VM-based SQL Server, Cassandra clusters, storage configuration, RBAC, Key VaultStrong scripting: PowerShell, Python, or BashCI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, cloud-native deployment patternsExperience supporting high-traffic, customer-facing SaaS applications is a plus
