About the role
Mwananchi Credit LTD is seeking a Collection Recovery Officer to manage delinquent accounts and support timely recovery.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of delinquent accounts and drive timely recovery.
- Conduct calls, follow-ups, and field visits to negotiate repayment plans with defaulting clients.
- Carry out skip tracing to locate customers who have become untraceable.
- Liaise with each stage of legal processes and implement other recovery-related activities where required.
Requirements
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in collections or recovery, preferably in microfinance or banking.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in collection software or CRM and MS Excel reporting tools.
