Custodial Worker Shift 1 Job in Nashville, TN

Minimum Qualification: High school diploma or GED equivalent; no previous experience required. Duties and Responsibilities: Perform general custodial duties including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, restroom cleaning, and restocking supplies. Maintain custodial equipment and supplies routinely. Empty trash receptacles and properly dispose of waste. Unlock and lock doors ensuring security after cleaning. Report maintenance needs and supply concerns to appropriate staff. Use and maintain equipment safely, promoting workplace safety and environmental best practices. Assist in training new custodial staff on routine procedures. Perform cleaning tasks specific to assigned facilities and seasonal or project needs. Provide vendors access for cleaning and report any vendor-related issues. Assist with snow removal and minor maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and adjusting furniture. Perform other related duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, and equipment. Understanding of safety practices related to custodial work, including proper lifting and chemical safety. Familiarity with maintenance and sanitation standards in institutional settings.
