Diesel Mechanic

Job Summary - This is a full-time, on-site Diesel Mechanic role in Carlisle, Grantville, or Ebensburg, PA. The Diesel Mechanic will perform vehicle maintenance and repairs, diagnose and resolve mechanical issues, and conduct preventive maintenance. Additional responsibilities include maintaining heavy equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and documenting all maintenance and repairs performed. - The mechanic will need to have their own tools and reliable transportation. Mechanics will also be asked to run a service truck (2015 or newer, when needed) and help with other tasks as needed. The mechanic will be asked to work at least one weekend a month on call, but you can choose your weekend. Key Responsibilities: -Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines -Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues -Repair or replace faulty parts -Maintain service records -Follow Safety procedures -Communicate with supervisors, dispatch, and customers -Have your own tools -Work one weekend a month of your choice on call as a mobile mechanic. -Perform mobile repair services (All service trucks are 2021 and newer) Required Qualifications -Proficiency in Diesel Mechanics and working with heavy equipment -Experience in vehicle maintenance and equipment maintenance -Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures -Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues independently -Good communication skills and attention to detail -Technical certifications are a plus -Previous experience in the towing and recovery industry is an advantage Company Description HJ is a family-owned and operated company that Heidi and Jake started 24-plus years ago, se Apply directly on CazVid.
