🚀 Why This Role MattersAn established structural steel fabrication organisation is seeking an experienced operations leader to support their fabrication facility. This position is responsible for improving operational performance, supporting Plant Managers, and ensuring fabrication operations are aligned with production schedules, safety standards, and business objectives.
Working closely with operational and corporate teams, you'll help drive consistency, improve efficiency, and support the successful delivery of fabrication projects across the region.
🎯 Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with the Plant Manager and site leadership to achieve production, quality, safety, and financial goals.Coordinate production planning and scheduling activities to maximise efficiency and meet customer expectations.Monitor operational KPIs and implement initiatives that improve productivity, quality, and overall performance.Identify opportunities for process improvements, resource optimisation, and continuous improvement initiatives.Coach and develop Plant Managers, Foremen, and department leaders while promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
✅ Ideal Candidate Profile10+ years of leadership experience within structural steel fabrication or heavy industrial manufacturing.Strong understanding of fabrication processes, production scheduling, and manufacturing operations.Experience managing KPIs, budgeting, forecasting, and operational performance.Proven ability to develop Plant Managers and operational leadership teams.Experience driving continuous improvement and operational efficiencies within a fabrication environment.
