Key Responsibilities Contribute to the editorial planning and content creation for the organization’s monthly newsletter, ensuring timely and engaging delivery. Write, edit, and proofread compelling articles that effectively communicate our mission, events, and volunteer achievements to a diverse audience. Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to gather accurate information and unique insights that enrich newsletter content. Research relevant topics, trends, and stories that resonate with our community and enhance reader engagement. Assist in designing newsletter layouts using digital publishing tools to ensure visual appeal, clarity, and brand consistency. Track and analyze newsletter performance metrics such as open rates and click-through rates to optimize content strategy. Participate actively in team meetings and brainstorming sessions to innovate and elevate our communication efforts. What We're Looking For Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, or a related field. Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives. Passion for volunteerism and community service. Experience in writing or editing, preferably within nonprofit or volunteer settings. Preferred: Familiarity with digital publishing platforms and basic graphic design software (e.g., Adobe InDesign, Canva). Ability to analyze audience engagement metrics and adapt content accordingly. Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively in a remote or hybrid team environment.
