Homeschool Teacher – Special Education Focus (Autism & ADHD) About the Role MOVE Your Business is seeking a compassionate and experienced homeschool teacher to provide one-on-one instruction for a 9-year-old boy diagnosed with autism and ADHD. This role focuses on creating a supportive and customized learning environment to help him catch up to grade level while nurturing his curiosity and confidence. About the Student 9 years old, currently in 4th grade but below grade level Highly intelligent, affectionate, and curious about the world Familiar with numbers, letters, telling time, and enjoys exploring weather data globally Has special interests in fans, cell phones, and iPads Challenges with sitting still for extended periods Has undergone various treatments over the years Key Responsibilities Design and implement a personalized homeschooling curriculum aligned with California state standards Adapt teaching methods to accommodate the student’s unique learning style, attention span, and sensory needs Deliver instruction in core subjects: English, Math, Science, and Social Studies, with enrichment opportunities Utilize multi-sensory teaching techniques and positive behavioral supports Monitor and document academic progress regularly, adjusting strategies as needed Support social, emotional, and life skills development alongside academics Maintain regular communication with parents regarding goals, progress, and instructional strategies Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field; special education experience highly preferred Experience working with children diagnosed with autism and ADHD Strong knowledge of California educational standards and homeschooling best practices Patience, creativity, and excellent communication skills Location: San Juan Capistrano, California, USA (On-site) Job Type: Full-time Compensation: Hourly rate (to be discussed) If you are passionate about making a meaningful difference in a child’s educational journey and have the skills to support a student with special needs, we encourage you to apply.
