Position OverviewThe Human Resources & Payroll Specialist will play a critical role in supporting both employees and business operations. This position is responsible for payroll administration, employee onboarding and offboarding, HR compliance, benefits support, employee relations, and accounts payable functions. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcess biweekly payroll accurately and in a timely mannerMaintain employee payroll records and ensure compliance with applicable labor laws and company policiesSupport benefits administration and assist employees with benefit-related inquiriesCoordinate employee onboarding, orientation, and offboarding processesComplete and verify I-9 employment eligibility verification for all new hires and maintain compliant documentationMaintain accurate personnel files and HR documentationAssist with employee relations matters and support performance management initiativesSupport recruiting efforts, interview coordination, and applicant tracking activitiesProcess accounts payable transactions and maintain financial recordsPrepare HR, payroll, and accounting reports as neededEnsure confidentiality of employee and company informationPartner with management to support day-to-day HR and operational needs
QualificationsMinimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience preferredMinimum of 3 years of hospitality industry experience preferredAt least 1 year of accounts payable experience preferredStrong knowledge of payroll administration, HR compliance, employee relations, and personnel records managementExperience completing and managing I-9 verification and compliance documentation is requiredExcellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detailExperience with HRIS systems, applicant tracking systems, and payroll platforms preferredExperience with iSolved payroll software is a plus
