Lead Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Lead Accountant to provide leadership and coordination of the department’s daily accounting functions. This role is responsible for ensuring that accounting procedures comply with generally accepted accounting principles, internal policies, applicable regulations, and established controls. The Accounting Supervisor will oversee assigned accounting functions and supervise departmental staff.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and provide guidance to assigned accounting personnel.Ensure consistency and accuracy of accounting processes through compliance with established policies and procedures.Monitor and ensure compliance with internal controls.Prepare and analyze daily, weekly, monthly, and other required accounting reports.Ensure all accounting activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and accounting standards.Support the department with accounting-related analysis and other assigned responsibilities.Perform other duties inherent to the position.EducationBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, preferably with a concentration in Accounting.
Qualifications & ExperiencePrevious experience working with the full accounting cycle.Previous experience supervising employees and managing a team.Strong knowledge of accounting principles, policies, procedures, and internal controls.Strong analytical and organizational skills.Ability to prepare and interpret accounting reports.Ability to work independently while effectively leading and coordinating a team.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
