About the role
SECU Credit Union is seeking a manager to oversee the daily operations of the Foreclosure/OREO, Loss Mitigation & Bankruptcy department. The role supports staff, handles member escalations and partners with internal departments. The manager will work in the Linthicum, Maryland Headquarters one to two times per week.
Responsibilities
- Manage departmental daily operations and support staff.
- Handle member escalations and partner with internal departments.
- Serve as the primary contact for attorneys, investors, third party vendors and private mortgage Insurance companies.
- Manage processes to minimize delinquency and potential losses and maximize recoveries.
- Hire, train, motivate and coach employees, institute remedial actions when appropriate and monitor development plans.
- Adhere to regulations and organizational policies, including the Bank Secrecy Act and related regulations.
Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of residential Real Estate loans, Loss Mitigation, Foreclosure, Bankruptcy and servicing GSE loans.
- Maintain the awareness and knowledge required to perform the duties of the position.
