We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Manager to support our power generation project in Costa Rica and ensure compliance with applicable Costa Rican legislation, client requirements, and company HSE standards.The selected professional will be responsible for supporting and managing the preventive Occupational Health & Safety framework throughout the project and providing the required on-site OHS presence.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and coordinate Occupational Health & Safety activities for the project. Ensure compliance with applicable Costa Rican OHS legislation, client requirements, and company HSE standards. Implement, maintain, monitor, and continuously improve the preventive OHS management program. Conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments, and follow-up of corrective and preventive actions. Coordinate with client OHS representatives and ensure timely closure of identified findings. Provide OHS guidance and support to contractors and subcontractors working on site. Support and coordinate incident and accident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Maintain OHS statistics, training records, inspection records, and required reports and report to Company HSE Portals.Support emergency preparedness and response arrangements. Monitor high-risk activities including Permit to Work, LOTO, work at height, confined space entry, lifting operations, hot work, and electrical safety. Ensure appropriate implementation of PPE, chemical safety, signage, barricading, and other operational safety controls. The tender specifically requires the designated OHS professional to manage the preventive model, including implementation, maintenance, monitoring, addressing findings and recommendations, continuous improvement, and support to subcontractors.Required QualificationsUniversity degree in one of the following areas, or an equivalent relevant discipline: Occupational Health and Environment Occupational Safety and Environmental Hygiene Occupational and Environmental Safety Engineering Ability to meet applicable Costa Rican professional registration / recognition requirements for Occupational Health professionals. Availability to provide the required on-site OHS presence in Limón, Costa Rica, throughout the project period. Good knowledge of Costa Rican Occupational Health & Safety legislation. Proven experience in power generation, energy, industrial, marine, construction, or other high-risk operations. Experience in contractor and subcontractor OHS management. Strong knowledge of risk assessment, incident investigation, PTW, LOTO, confined space, work at height, lifting operations, and emergency preparedness. Strong communication, coordination, documentation, and reporting skills. Spanish proficiency is required.English proficiency is required.
