Ocean Transportation Specialist

This is an export-focused role: you'll manage cargo movements from domestic suppliers through to US ports, handling everything from customs clearance to carrier coordination.
What You'll DoCoordinate ocean export shipments end-to-end cargo - construction equipment, forestry equipment, and out-of-gauge machineryArrange domestic moves from suppliers to US port of loadingManage export customs clearance requirements for self-propelled and heavy equipment cargoHandle container bookings where applicable, including containerized self-propelled cargoPrepare and process export documentation and ensure compliance with relevant regulationsCoordinate with carriers, truckers, and internal teams to keep shipments moving on scheduleTrack shipment status and proactively communicate updates to clientsMaintain accurate shipment records in Magaya
What You Bring4+ years of experience in ocean export operations or logistics coordinationExperience with RoRo, breakbulk, or out-of-gauge cargo a strong plusFamiliarity with Magaya or similar freight forwarding/TMS softwareSolid understanding of export documentation and customs clearance processesStrong communication and coordination skills — comfortable liaising directly with clients and carriersAbility to work independently within a small, tight-knit team
