Orthopedic Technologist Contract Job in Rancho Mirage, CA

OrbiCubes Inc is seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Technologist for a contract role in Rancho Mirage, CA. Join our fast-paced healthcare team and contribute directly to patient recovery by assisting orthopedic physicians and physician assistants with casting, splinting, and patient care. Key Responsibilities: Assist orthopedic physician/PA with casting, splinting, and care of orthopedic devices including external fixators. Support patient intake, rooming, charting, and documentation processes. Maintain compliance with Code of Conduct and clinic policies, reporting any concerns promptly. Prepare treatment areas and exam rooms, ensuring they are orderly and well-stocked. Assist physicians during procedures by anticipating needs and procuring supplies. Apply orthopedic devices to patients of all ages, from infants to geriatrics. Perform suture and staple removal, dressing changes, and schedule diagnostic tests. Manage patient flow efficiently and handle phone communications professionally. Collect and prepare documentation for surgeries, orders, consents, and Durable Medical Equipment (DME) applications. Qualifications: Experience in orthopedic clinical settings preferred. Strong knowledge of orthopedic devices and patient care procedures. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work within scope of practice and clinic policies. This contract position is not remote and requires presence at our Rancho Mirage, CA healthcare facility.
