About the role
Landmark Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Assistant. Landmark Medical Center is a 214-bed acute care hospital in Woonsocket, RI, serving communities of northern Rhode Island and southern Massachusetts since 1873. The role is 32 hours per week, 10:45am–7:15pm.
Responsibilities
Under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit, the Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients, and helps maintain a safe environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- State-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
- Current BLS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire and maintained current.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Current phlebotomy and EKG certifications preferred upon hire.
- At least six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
