People Experience Generalist -Year Contract

This is a contractor position to provide services to a global company based in Costa Rica.
Position Summary
The People Experience Generalist plays a key role in delivering an exceptional employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle while ensuring operational excellence in HR processes and programs. This role partners closely with HR leaders, managers, and employees to support onboarding, employee engagement, communications, compliance, learning initiatives, and employee relations activities.The successful candidate will contribute to creating a positive and inclusive workplace culture while driving efficient HR operations that support business objectives. This position provides broad exposure across multiple HR disciplines, offering the opportunity to develop expertise in employee experience, HR operations, and strategic people programs. This approach aligns with an emphasis on employee experience, engagement, culture, and HR operations.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Experience & Engagement (40%)
Lead and coordinate onboarding activities to ensure a seamless and welcoming employee experience from day one.Facilitate employee integration programs, orientation sessions, and transition plans.Support employee engagement, recognition, wellbeing, and culture initiatives that strengthen workplace satisfaction and inclusion.Coordinate employee events and programs that foster collaboration and a positive work environment.Develop and distribute HR communications, announcements, newsletters, and employee updates.Support employee feedback initiatives, surveys, and action planning activities to enhance employee experience.Partner with managers to address employee concerns and promote positive employee relations.
HR Operations & Employee Support (40%)
Administer HR programs, policies, and procedures while ensuring consistency and compliance.Maintain employee records and HR documentation with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, processes, and systems.Manage employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, offboarding, personnel administration, and data management.Coordinate mandatory learning programs and training compliance requirements.Support audits, reporting activities, and HR metrics analysis.Maintain HR digital platforms, SharePoint sites, and employee resources.
Strategic HR Projects (20%)
Support employee journey and employee experience improvement initiatives.Participate in People Analytics and workforce insights projects.Contribute to talent programs, culture initiatives, and process improvement efforts.Support the design and implementation of innovative HR solutions that improve efficiency and employee satisfaction.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.2-5 years of experience in Human Resources, People Operations, Employee Experience, HR Coordination, or HR Generalist roles.Experience supporting employee lifecycle processes, employee engagement programs, and HR operations.Strong customer service orientation and ability to build relationships with employees and leaders.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Experience working in multinational organizations is preferred.Knowledge of HR policies, labor regulations, and compliance requirements.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems.
