The Programmer will assist in developing, testing, and maintaining software and web applications, focusing on clean, efficient code and basic back-end functionality. Day-to-day tasks include debugging issues, implementing simple features under supervision, and collaborating with senior developers to learn best practices in software development and object-oriented programming. The role also involves documenting code, participating in code reviews, and supporting integration of applications with existing systems. The position is designed for early-career professionals seeking hands-on experience and mentorship in a structured, growth-oriented environment.
Knowledge and experience with the following systems and software:o Komodo IDE or IDE equivalento C# programming language.o MS SQL 2012 and SQL Server Management Studio or Database equivalento MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visioo OneDrive or cloud storage equivalent• Microsoft 365 Fundamentals certification preferred
QualificationsFoundational knowledge in Computer Science and Software Development, with the ability to understand core algorithms, data structures, and development lifecycles.Practical skills in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), including writing, organizing, and maintaining basic code in at least one modern programming language.Introductory experience or coursework in Back-End Web Development, such as working with APIs, server-side logic, or databases.Ability to learn new technologies quickly, follow technical guidance, and contribute in a hybrid work environment based in Guaynabo.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and clear written and verbal communication abilities.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience through projects or internships.Basic familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows is preferred.
