Quality Control Manager

About the role

Akima Facilities Operations (AFO) is seeking a quality control manager to support Letterkenny's Depot mission of repairing and modernizing U.S. weapons, air and missile defense systems, and supporting infrastructure. The mission requires an understanding of industrial mission-critical environments. Supporting U.S. and Allied Forces at the Letterkenny Army Depot (LEAD) and overseas while implementing new mission requirements is central to the approach. The workforce's technical expertise, safety culture, and commitment to excellence support mission success.

As a quality control manager, you will oversee contract quality requirements and help ensure services and deliverables meet established standards through inspections, performance monitoring, and compliance verification. You will identify issues, facilitate corrective actions, and engage with project leadership to maintain high-quality performance across the program.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Quality Assurance Department and associated functions.
• Develop, implement, coordinate, continually improve, and manage the Quality Assurance (QA) Program and Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001.
• Establish and continually improve a compliant QMS in accordance with ISO 9001 across all project departments.
• Evaluate, monitor, audit, and analyze QMS implementation and operation.
• Evaluate department performance against ISO, statutory and regulatory, PWS (contractual), and QMS requirements.
• Develop procedures, work instructions, and other documents to enhance functions and increase ISO compliance.
