We’re looking for a highly skilled Radiation Oncology Physician for a locum tenens assignment across various locations in the USA. This position is on-site and requires travel to multiple locations nationwide. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient evaluations to develop individualized radiation therapy treatment plans tailored to each patient’s cancer type and stage. Administer precise radiation treatments and closely monitor patients for side effects and treatment effectiveness, ensuring optimal care quality. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including medical oncologists, surgeons, radiologists, and nursing staff to coordinate comprehensive cancer care. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and treatment documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations and institutional policies. Provide ongoing patient education and emotional support to help patients and families understand treatment processes and manage expectations. Participate actively in tumor boards and case discussions, contributing expert insights to improve treatment strategies and patient outcomes. Stay current with the latest research, technologies, and clinical guidelines in radiation oncology to implement evidence-based best practices. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality assurance standards in radiation delivery to minimize risks and maximize therapeutic benefits. What We're Looking For Required: MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school. Board certification in Radiation Oncology. Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience delivering radiation therapy and managing oncology patients. Proficiency with radiation treatment planning software and electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. Preferred: Experience with advanced radiation technologies such as IMRT, IGRT, and stereotactic radiosurgery. Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development and research involvement.
