Sales Development Manager - Draper, UTWorkBay is a fast-growing commercial real estate company helping small businesses find and lease their perfect workspace. As our Sales Development Manager, you’ll lead and develop a team of SDRs responsible for working inbound B2B leads, running marketing campaigns, setting showings, closing leases, and managing day-to-day property operations. This is a hands-on leadership role — you’ll be in the trenches with your team while also owning the strategy, performance, and technology that drives results. A key part of this role is building and refining WorkBay’s AI-powered leasing bot, helping us automate lead response and qualification at scale.About WorkBay:WorkBay is a premier provider of small industrial spaces dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs and small business owners. We offer flexible leasing options and a diverse range of unit sizes — making it easy for businesses of all kinds to find the right space and grow.What will you be doing?Team Leadership & PerformanceRecruit, onboard, train, and manage a team of SDR - Leasing & Marketing SpecialistsSet clear performance expectations and KPIs — showings booked, leases closed, lead response time, occupancy rates, and marketing engagementCoach reps through live deal reviews, call shadowing, and regular 1:1sHold the team accountable to activity metrics while maintaining a high-quality tenant experienceIdentify skill gaps and build training programs to continuously develop the teamLeasing & Property Management OversightOversee the full leasing pipeline with a strong focus on lead qualification and setting showingsEnsure the team is responding to inbound leads quickly, qualifying effectively through messaging and communication, and booking high-quality showings consistentlyMonitor team performance across property operations including move-ins, rent collection, and tenant relationsBuild and maintain reports in HubSpot to track pipeline health, team activity, and lead performanceStep in on escalated tenant issues and complex lease situationsCollaborate with WorkBay’s onsite representatives to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and a consistent tenant experience across all locationsPartner with operations and leadership to maintain high occupancy and tenant satisfactionMarketing Strategy & ExecutionOversee the team’s social media ad campaigns, budgets, and content creation effortsAnalyze marketing performance data and adjust strategy to improve lead quality and volumeCollaborate with leadership on promotional strategy, competitor research, and campaign planningEnsure brand consistency across all marketing materials and digital channelsAI Collaboration (No Coding Required)WorkBay is investing in AI-powered tools to enhance our leasing operations. No technical background is needed — our internal team handles the build. Your role is to be the voice of the leasing team, helping shape and improve how these tools perform in the real world.Act as the liaison between the leasing team and our internal AI development teamProvide real-world leasing context, feedback, and insights to help our team continuously improve our AI toolsReview AI tool performance and communicate what’s working and what isn’t to the technical teamStay informed on AI and automation trends in sales and real estate to bring new ideas to leadership
Qualifications3+ years of experience in sales, leasing, or a related field — with at least 1 year in a team lead or management roleExperience in commercial real estate, property management, or a B2B sales environment strongly preferredDemonstrated ability to coach, develop, and hold a team accountable to performance metricsComfortable working alongside technical teams and communicating business needs in plain language is a plus — no coding requiredStrong understanding of CRM systems — HubSpot experience preferredAnalytical mindset with the ability to read data, spot trends, and make decisions based on performance metricsExcellent communication skills — bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not requiredHighly organized, self-directed, and comfortable managing multiple priorities across leasing, marketing, and technologyBachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Real Estate, or a related field preferred but not required
CompensationCompetitive base salary commensurate with experience — with strong bonus and commission potential
