Position SummaryThe Security Architect / Zero Trust Lead defines and guides the cybersecurity architecture strategy for enterprise environments with emphasis on secure design, segmentation, identity-centric controls, and zero trust principles. This role provides senior technical leadership for architecture reviews, control integration, and modernization recommendations.Key ResponsibilitiesLead development and refinement of enterprise security architecture strategies and target-state designs.Provide technical guidance on zero trust architecture, network segmentation, identity controls, data protection, and secure access models.Review system designs, engineering changes, cloud configurations, and proposed integrations for security impact.Recommend architectural improvements aligned with mission needs, risk posture, and regulatory requirements.Support assessment of control implementation, boundary protection, secure configuration, and resilience measures.Collaborate with engineers, ISSOs, and program leadership on strategic cybersecurity initiatives.Develop technical white papers, architecture diagrams, and executive recommendations.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, engineering, or related field.Minimum 10 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or architecture.Minimum 3 years of experience leading architecture or zero trust initiatives.Strong knowledge of enterprise security architecture, identity and access management, cloud security, network security, and secure system design.Experience interpreting and applying federal security requirements and controls.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Preferred CertificationsCISSP, CCSP, SABSA, or equivalent architecture certificationZero trust or cloud security training/certificationsAdditional RequirementsAbility to obtain and maintain required federal suitability/public trust clearance.
