Senior Purchasing Agent

The Specialized Recruiting Group is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Purchasing Agent with residential construction experience to support purchasing operations for a high-volume homebuilder client of ours in the Charlotte area. Responsibilities include:• Coordinating bid processes for new subdivisions, including bid packages, scopes of work, and subcontractor/vendor pricing• Creating and maintaining model cost estimates, budgets, takeoffs, and contract pricing• Reviewing material counts, installation quality, and resolving pricing or vendor discrepancies• Supporting subcontractor and supplier selection, negotiations, and ongoing bid-outs to control costs• Maintaining option catalogs, retail pricing, and standard feature documentation• Partnering with Purchasing and Construction teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve profitability
Qualifications:• 2+ years of purchasing, estimating, or construction-related experience (residential/homebuilding preferred)• Strong understanding of construction documents, subcontracting, and budgeting• Experience with takeoffs, pricing analysis, and vendor management• Proficiency in Excel and construction software such as BuildPro, NewStar, or similar platforms preferred• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skillsBachelor’s degree preferred.
