Sun Technologies is seeking a skilled Solder Assembler for a contract position in Clearwater, Florida. Join a leading electronic components manufacturer dedicated to high-quality craftsmanship and precision. Key Responsibilities Perform soldering on circuit boards using various techniques, following IPC standards. Utilize Surface Mount Technology (SMT) for accurate component placement and assembly. Conduct detailed visual inspections to detect defects or inconsistencies. Use X-ray inspection methods to evaluate solder joints and internal connections. Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to maintain product quality and compliance. Document assembly and inspection processes as part of quality control. Maintain a clean, organized workstation while adhering to safety protocols. Required and Preferred Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Proven soldering experience, especially with SMT and IPC standards. Familiarity with visual and X-ray inspection techniques. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Preferred certifications: IPC-A-610, IPC J-STD-001. Experience with assembly line software/tools is a plus. Report directly to the Production Supervisor in a dynamic, team-oriented environment focused on precision and excellence.
