You will collaborate with a dedicated team of educators and specialists to provide tailored educational experiences that meet the unique needs of each student. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet each student’s unique learning needs. Provide specialized instruction using a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles. Collaborate with parents, educators, and specialists to ensure a holistic approach to student development. Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies accordingly to maximize learning outcomes. Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and behavioral development. Maintain accurate records of student performance, IEP goals, and compliance documentation. Participate actively in staff meetings and professional development workshops to enhance teaching effectiveness. What We're Looking For: Required: Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or a related field. California State Teaching Credential in Special Education. Minimum of 1 year of experience working with students with disabilities preferred. Knowledge of special education laws and ethical practices. Familiarity with relevant software and tools used for student assessment and IEP documentation. Preferred: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a team. Commitment to ongoing professional development and growth. This role is part of a collaborative team structure involving general education teachers, special education staff, and various support professionals to ensure comprehensive student care. You will report directly to the school Principal and will work closely with the school’s special education coordinator. Cross-functional collaboration is essential, as you will engage with related service providers, including occupational and speech therapists, to enhance student learning experiences.
