About the role
The Staff Accountant at Bland Landscaping Company supports internal accounting processes, maintains financial accuracy, and drives continuous process improvements. The role partners cross-functionally to support timely, accurate financial transactions, billing, and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Support daily accounting functions, transactional accuracy, and month-end close procedures.
- Prepare and post standard and adjusting journal entries with supporting documentation.
- Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts and maintain the fixed asset sub-ledger.
- Review and verify billing data from branches and review client contracts for proper invoicing treatment and timely billing.
- Generate client invoices with supporting documentation and post receipts to the accounts receivable sub-ledger as part of daily cash management.
- Review aging reports, contact delinquent accounts to request payment, and research and resolve accounts receivable issues and customer discrepancies.
- Prepare monthly sales and use tax returns and assist with annual audit requests.
- Document standard accounting workflows and support special projects as requested.
