Network Engineer in Waxhaw, NC | TekBricks

TekBricks is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure in Waxhaw, North Carolina. This role focuses on ensuring secure, reliable, and high-performance network operations across LAN, WAN, WLAN, and cloud environments. Key Responsibilities Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, and WLAN Install and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues promptly Ensure network security, access control, and compliance with standards Perform network upgrades, backups, and disaster recovery planning Collaborate with system, security, and cloud teams to optimize network solutions Document network configurations, procedures, and changes Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for network-related incidents Required Skills Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN protocols and technologies Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, or Palo Alto network devices Proficient with routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP Expertise in firewall configuration and network security best practices Experience with network monitoring tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, Wireshark Understanding of cloud networking concepts (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus Preferred Qualifications Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Network+, JNCIA Experience with SD-WAN and network automation technologies Knowledge of Linux and Windows networking environments Strong communication and documentation skills Location: Waxhaw, North Carolina, United States Employment Type: Full-time, on-site (remote not eligible) Compensation: $5,000 per month
